Authorities are searching the Kimmi Lumber and Sawmill in Everest in regard to a missing Horton woman, Atchison County Sheriff John Calhoon said Friday afternoon.

Patricia "Pat" Kimmi, 58, is believed to have been abducted from her home outside of Horton on Nov. 6. Her ex-husband, Eugene Kimmi, owns the sawmill, 12006 Elk Road, Calhoon said.

The sheriff said a search warrant was executed shortly before 9 a.m. Friday. He wouldn’t elaborate on what authorities are looking for in regard to the case.

"We are continuing to search, gather facts and evidence in regard to bringing this case to a close," Calhoon said.

In January, law enforcement officers searched a property at 1755 V Road in rural Nemaha County that was occupied by Roger and Rebecca Hollister.

Roger Hollister,58, of Sabetha, was considered a "person of interest" in the disappearance of Kimmi. Hollister was arrested last week for allegedly trying to kill his wife Feb. 26 by driving his sport utility vehicle head-on into a tractor-trailer. Hollister was booked into the Brown County Jail on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery in the wreck.

After Hollister was released from The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan., March 5, officers took him into custody and drove him to the Brown County Jail about 2 p.m. and booked him. Then he was driven by law enforcement officials at 3:30 p.m. to the Atchison County Jail.

Hollister was held at the Atchison County Jail because his brother works at the Brown County Jail.

Atchison County authorities earlier said Roger and Rebecca Hollister were considered persons of interest in Atchison County in the disappearance of Kimmi.

No arrests have been made in the disappearance of Kimmi, although Calhoon said "we are getting closer day by day."
