Fla. trooper and wife dead in apparent murder-suicide

FLORAL CITY, Fla. — Authorities have found a longtime Florida trooper and his wife dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Eddie Silcox had been a patrolman for 22 years. Investigators say he and wife Sandra Silcox had been having marital trouble and recently separated.

Citrus County sheriff’s deputies went to their home early Sunday after Eddie Silcox called 911 to report a domestic disturbance.

Both were 48 years old.
